Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Lecture AI, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, stop using the app.
Purpose of the Service
Lecture AI is designed for audio recording, speech-to-text transcription, text translation, organization of learning materials, and generation of summaries and study cards using Apple Intelligence or related system intelligence. It is a learning and productivity aid and does not guarantee any particular academic, examination, work, or meeting outcome.
Recording and Consent
Before recording, you must ensure that recording is permitted by applicable law and relevant school, workplace, meeting, or venue rules. Some jurisdictions may require consent from one or all participants. Lecture AI does not obtain consent on your behalf. If content includes another person's voice, personal information, confidential business information, or protected educational material, you are responsible for having lawful authority to record, store, process, and share it.
Transcription and Translation Accuracy
Automated transcription and translation may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies due to noise, accents, overlapping speakers, language, terminology, or context. Important meeting decisions, course requirements, examination information, contracts, and legal, medical, or safety-related content should be verified against original recordings, official sources, or qualified professionals.
Apple Intelligence and AI Content
Summaries, study cards, key points, questions, or suggestions generated through Apple Intelligence or related system capabilities may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misunderstand source material. AI content is a learning aid and should not be the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, safety, or other significant decisions. Availability may vary by device, region, language, OS version, and Apple policy.
User Content and Copyright
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you retain applicable rights in content you record, enter, or import and are responsible for content you record, import, edit, export, or share. Lectures, classes, textbooks, presentations, and meeting materials may be protected by copyright, confidentiality agreements, or institutional rules. The technical ability to record or transcribe content does not automatically grant the right to copy, distribute, publish, or commercially use it.
Data Storage and Backups
Lecture AI may store recordings, transcripts, translations, study cards, and summaries on your device. You are responsible for backing up important content. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lecture AI is not liable beyond what the law requires for data loss caused by deletion, device failure, insufficient storage, system reset, software errors, or other technical issues.
System Dependencies
Some features depend on iOS, microphone access, speech recognition, Apple Intelligence, system language services, and other Apple platform capabilities. OS updates, device compatibility, regional or language limitations, and changes to Apple services may affect functionality.
Prohibited Uses
You must not use Lecture AI for unlawful secret recording, unauthorized surveillance, privacy violations, harassment, fraud, intellectual-property infringement, or other unlawful activity. You must not compromise app security, gain unauthorized access, decompile, or unlawfully copy app code or protected materials except where expressly permitted by applicable law.
Intellectual Property
The Lecture AI name, branding, interface, graphics, designs, software code, and other original app materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. User-created content or content lawfully owned by others remains the property of the relevant rights holder.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lecture AI is not liable beyond what the law requires for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from transcription errors, translation errors, inaccurate AI content, data loss, device or system failures, third-party service failures, or a user's violation of recording, privacy, copyright, or confidentiality requirements. Nothing excludes rights, guarantees, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
